Voyage vs Storm Dive: which one should you play?

Two modes, and the difference is time pressure. Voyage has none. Storm Dive is bounded by a sandstorm closing on the centre of the map. If you are new, start with Voyage.

Which to start with

Voyage, for a straightforward reason: in an extraction game, the thing that kills new players is running out of time to make a decision. Voyage removes that variable so you can learn the loop — load out, go out, find something, get back — without a storm deciding when your run ends.

Storm Dive is where the better loot is, and the timer is the price of it. Go there once you can extract reliably rather than hopefully.

Both modes share the same risk

Nothing you carry is safe until extraction completes, and the Trampler itself can be lost. That is not a mode difference, it is the game. Before your first serious run, it is worth knowing exactly what happens if it all goes wrong, because the official answer is blunter than most players expect — see what actually happens when you lose everything.

What we cannot tell you yet

The extraction timings — how long a call takes, how much warning it gives — are the most asked-about numbers in the game and we do not publish them. The developer has not stated them in text, and we do not test the game ourselves, so every figure in circulation traces back to someone's stopwatch on a build that has since been rebalanced twice. We would rather leave a gap than fill it with a number that quietly stopped being true.
