Kicked for “suspicious activity” and you weren't cheating

Start here: were you kicked mid-match, or blocked at launch? They are different problems with different fixes, and the publisher documents them in two separate places. Almost everyone conflates them.

Kicked out of a running match — that is this page. It is usually a detection false positive, and it usually clears on its own.
Cannot launch or connect at all, or told you are banned — that is an enforcement action, not a kick. The remedy is the publisher's appeal form, and nothing on this page will change it.

The cooldown, since that is the actual question

The publisher states

Repeated kicks trigger a temporary matchmaking penalty of roughly one hour, which clears by itself. It is not a ban and there is nothing to appeal.

Confirmed on a first-party surface — the developer’s Steam announcements or the publisher’s support site.

The four documented causes

The publisher states
  1. Network desync and rubberbanding. Play your closest region. Drop VPNs and “network accelerator” software. F11 shows your ping in-game.
  2. Being flung by a Trampler collision, and certain ladder interactions. Both are the developer's own open bugs — see below.
  3. Conflicting always-on anti-cheat or overlays, Riot Vanguard being the named example. Close them before launching.
  4. A missing Proton BattlEye Runtime on Steam Deck and Linux. Install it.

What the checklist cannot fix

Two of those four causes are bugs the publisher currently lists as open. That means you can play on your home region, with no VPN, no overlay, and a correct Proton setup, and still get thrown out because a Trampler collided with you. If that is what happened, the honest answer is that there is no setting on your end to change.

We are saying that explicitly because the alternative — a tidy checklist implying every kick is your misconfiguration — would be wrong and would make you doubt a working setup. Both symptoms are on the known-issues list with their status and dates.

Reporting it, and what reporting can and cannot do

There is a first-party bug-report route — F7 in-game — and it is worth using for the collision and ladder cases specifically, since those are already acknowledged and more reports help establish frequency. The path exists in the game and on the publisher's support portal; it is simply hard to find, which is why many players believe it does not exist at all.Every route, with the exact key presses.

What we will not tell you is how long real bans last, how appeals are decided, or how long one takes. The form exists; the process behind it has never been documented. Anyone who tells you the timeline is guessing.

If you were banned rather than kicked

Use the publisher's appeal form and give it your account details and the time it happened. The form asks for seven specific things — have them ready. That is the whole of the documented route. The developer has published enforcement reports describing ban waves, so bans here are deliberate actions rather than automatic disconnections — but the criteria are not public, and we are not going to invent them.
